ENGINEERING

It doesn’t take rocket science to make coffee, but it helps when a rocket scientist builds your machine

Manual Pressure Generation (Crank System)

BRU uses a hand-crank mechanism to manually build up the pressure needed for espresso extraction, without relying on an electric pump. The crank is designed to easily reach the target pressure range of 8–10 bars.

Vacuum-Insulated Brew Chamber

The brew chamber is vacuum insulated to maintain optimal water temperature throughout the brewing process, critical for full flavor extraction even in varying outdoor or room temperatures.

 Integrated Pressure-Sensing Ring

BRU includes a pressure-sensing ring around the crank or piston area that provides tactile feedback to the user as pressure builds.

This gives users a precise feel for when optimal pressure has been achieved, helping ensure consistent espresso shots without needing a digital gauge or external sensors.

Engineering Precision in Water Flow

The use of a basket and distributed water system, allows for even water flow throughout the coffee. This maximizes extraction, which leads to better flavor and crema
